 Since the introduction of Letters and Sounds in 2007,  the impact of high quality phonic work has been noted by many practitioners, and the games introduced seven years ago are still being played enthusiastically .

But….. wouldn’t’ it be nice to play some new games? To take the four part teaching sequence outside or link it to the time of year? What if there could be minimal effort for maximum enjoyment and a breath of fresh air could be applied to those phonics sessions? Well now it can!!!

With years of experience of demonstrating, advising, improving, making and researching, The Learning Lady has collected together all of her best ideas in one place, just for you. Your class will love playing musical statues to apply their reading, joining in with ‘pass the bag’ to revisit and practise by playing the topsy turvy flower pot game! You can’t afford to miss it!

Teaching children to solve mathematical problems and approach investigations can be full of light bulb moments, but very tricky too! It can be all too tempting to set the children off with a problem or investigation and ‘see how they get on’. Children need the skills of talking and thinking through how to approach a problem or investigation, and need the decision making process and possibility thinking to be carefully  modelled. They need lots of  practise through a range of non-threatening, real-life contexts which they can relate to over time. This resource will really help you to do all of this and much more!
